Do you like poetry?

Not usually.

No. Not that I don't love my family...

Broken a bone?
No.

Nope

Been on a boat?
No.

Nope

My sister. *cring*

Not to my knowledge.

What-a-burger! Funny thing...I used to think that it was called Waterburger...which I thought was GROSS!

Starbucks

What's your favorite time of year?

Winter, definitely. (Hey, if you lived in Texas, that's what you'd say, too!)

Yes. In the store, especially.

Do you have a favorite treat you like to buy on occasion?

Hmmm. I can't remember the last time I bought myself a real treat! I guess that the closest thing would be make-up.

If by literal, you mean that it literally is God's word, yes. It is also infallible as it was inspired by God.

What color is your ipod?

I have an MP3...and it's black and blue.

LONDON, ENGLAND!!! Then I'd go anywhere in England. ( I bet that's one you'd never have guessed!)

If you could go to any fictional place, where would you go?

Cair Paravel, The Lantern Waste, Calormen

Do you love to write or do you just like writing? Or do you write at all?

I'm variable. Sometimes I'll be inspired, sometimes not. You can always tell if I'm inspired because that's when a post will appear.

What do you want to be when you’re a grown up?

I'd like to be a professional violinist...until I get married and have kids. :)

Favorite animal?

I love the cheetahs in Narnia. They're just so majestic. Of course, I wouldn't be too excited about meeting one from our world face-to-face.

Favorite song?

Ummmm... I think that I'll have to say "The Call" from Prince Caspian...it's perfect and really summarizes the entire feeling of the movie.

Do you like school?

Generally. I don't like math, but other than that...

Are you a people person because I’m getting the idea that you are?

Well, I live with a bunch of *guess* people, and I haven't gone mad yet so...yes.

Do you like to talk?

I do. My best conversations are usually with myself, though.

Pasta! Then French Dip Sandwiches!

Hobbies?

Knitting, drawing volumes of the same nameless girl wearing different dresses, sewing.

Favorite author?

Charles Dickens, Sir A. Conan Doyle.

Favorite weapon?

(I'm NOT copying you, Meg!) Susan's bow and arrows. And quiver.

Is this a fun tag or are you getting bored?

That, I think, is a rather stupid question. No answer. (Hey wait a minute...)

Do you like Hannah Montana and all those girly people and movies like Highschool Musical?

I've never seen it, but from what I have seen floating around the world...no.

What are you scared of?

Snakes and heights and empty spaces and the dark and...(just kidding, I'm just scared of snakes and heights.)

Favorite flower?

I've got to say roses and daffodils.

Do you always use the same password or do you use different ones?

no comment!

What is the expression on your face?

A slightly dazed one, due to the light that the computer screen is emitting from the computer.

Color of your eyes?

Dark Brown.

That was fun!

Here's a picture I found on Awel's blog (I think) and really liked...I call it "The Dawn Treader"

Yay Lucie!! I love your answers (I know it isn't copying to say Susan's bow and arrows :) ). And thanks for leaving a comment on Emma's post; it's always encouraging for her.

Thanks for doing the tag! :)

Since you like both Doyle and Ivanhoe, you might like reading The White Company, a medieval story by Doyle.

Su,
I love your new blog design. I saw you started following my Narnia blog. Thanks! Only sorry to say I havn't done anything with it yet. A blog friend is helping me make a background, and once that is up, I'll start posting. I do a a BUNCH of ideas though. I started it because I have so much to write about Narnia, that I think the people on my other blog get sick about hearing about it. I don't think you'll mind though.
This tag is a great way to learn more about bloggy friends! I so agree with you about poetry. My sister, KK, loves it but I can only take a little bit at a time. I very much dislike Hannah Montana. A lot of it is because she stands for a lot of things I stand against, and also because they are filming her new movie on this little deserted island we vacation at. It is so private, but now we are afraid this movie will draw a lot of tourist, and that would ruin the whole deserted feeling.
Sorry to ramble like this! It's a bad habit. (have you noticed yet?);)
Have a great day!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE your new blog design!!!! Keep it like this for a little while. :) That's a wonderful pic of Susan, and the background colors match almost perfectly!!! It really looks great.

Dear Lucie,
My name is Kaitlin. You've been going back and forth with my "little" sister, Brianna. I'm sorry you can't read our blogs (they're "limited")but I'll just leave notes here:).
I'm Susan in my family. Don't you just LOVE her clothes?! Your costume was really great? We made our own bows and arrows(fully functionable)and now we all are going to make costumes of our characters. I was going to make mine to enter in the county fair, but haven't made up my mind as to which to make! Any suggestions?

In fact, my siblings and I love Narnia so much, that we've been studying British slang and commonly used phrases. "jolly rotten", "awfully clever", "by Jove", "beastly" and "Great Scott" are not out of place with the daily coversation in our home(We're American, as I assume you are, too).

Your description of Susan on your sidebar is perfect! Don't you think Disney did an excellent job at casting? They are all exactly as I pictured them. OK, maybe not EXACTLY, but really, really close;).

I'm 17 and the oldest of 7. I'm a Christian(Baptist)and born again.(You'll agree they're not the same thing?) Like Susan I tend to be the "wet blanket". I love to make people laugh, though, am melodramatic and have a wild imagination!
I'd love to get to know you better. Sorry this is a long comment. It might as well be called a letter!
Sincerely yours,
Kaitlin (aka:KK)

@Marissa: Thanks! I was feeling really inspired at the moment...it's funny, but a couple of days ago, I opened up my cell phone and what do you know! There's that same picture!

@Marian: from what I've heard, I definitely should!

@Nana:I love the idea of a total Narnia blog! Thanks for the award!

@kittikat: Thanks for coming over! It's always exciting to meet Narnia fans! I wish I could read your blogs, but, alas and alack, I cannot. :( I am American...love England (but come from the most UN-English state--Texas)but I, too, LOVE the British jargon (it takes a while to sort it out, though.) Thanks for the comment!

Hey, Nana...I'm answering the un-publishable comment...

Thanks so much for going to so much trouble so that I could look at your blog...I'm sorry, but even that won't work because I'm not supposed to let people have our email. So sorry! I guess that I'll just have to be content to talk to you over the comments...:(((((

Hi Lu,
That would be fine. I'm so sorry about that! Mabey one day I will make them public. I'll let you know if I do!
Anyway, it's kinda fun talking by comment. Oh, and I just noticed your new profile picture. That's a great shot of Su. Today we went to our fabric store to bye material and patterns for out Narnia costumes. It went really well.
I was very pleased with the patterns. Turned out not to be as hard as I thought it would be. We only boght the pattens today. We had been running all day and just wanted to get home. I think we might go back some time this week. You see our county has this fair, and we leave a few days before we are supposed to enter stuff. Our granparents, have agreed to drop them off for us, but we still loose a few days sewing time.
Have a great evening!

Hello. This is your mother. Let's see...

So you don't like poetry? Or math? Well, here is a list of other things that I didn't believe you when you said you didn't like them: reading, practicing the violin, reading, exercising, reading, science, reading, knitting, and reading.

And...Beowolf is a poem, and you seem to be enjoying that this week.

So too are the Psalms. You'll grow to appreciate them more and more as you get older.

What else...

I'm pretty sure you love me and I'm pretty sure I've made you cry before. :( Sorry.

You *have* been on a boat. Remember when we went out to watch the dolphins in the Gulf of Mexico? It was your 6th birthday--give or take.

Maybe *you* haven't fallen asleep in our schooling, but *I* have! Remember how you would wake me up during our read aloud stories after I'd fall asleep in the middle of a page because your little sister was a nursing baby?

I'm so proud of you that you can spell "definitely" correctly. So many spell it, "definately." Don't ask me how I know...

Good catch on the "literal/infallible" question.

Ahem...your favorite "song" is Samuel Barber's Adagio for Strings because it is the most beautiful piece of music ever composed and because you have good taste like your mommy.

Between the reading and the narrating, when do you possibly have time to converse with yourself?

And...does she answer?

Your little sisters would giggle and say you *are* afraid of empty spaces and the dark, just like you said.

Fun tag!

Lucie Manette said...

Hallooooo, Mummy! So you gave yourself a break from lesson plans? :)

Yes, as usual, you're right about lots of that stuff...still, I can't imagine ever enjoying math!

...Oh, and about being afraid of dark spaces. You're talking about when I come hurtling down the stairs, right? Oh, that's just trying to test my old idea of flying! ;)

No, I'm sorry, but "The Call" is still my 14-year-old self's favorite song. Adagio for Strings is beautifu, but I'll save it for later. :) And speaking of beautiful songs...what about the theme from "Schindler's List?"

Well, thanks so much for commenting Mommy!

Hi Lucie!
I just noticed your blog button on the side. Awesome! Did you make it? I just found out how to make them awhile ago and have been making some for some blog friends. I'll have to get yours up on my sidebar!
When do you start school? We are going to wait until after our vacation. We always go on vacation in the fall, because it makes the summer last longer. I love the summer, and it is always sad to see it go. I know you don't like it that much, but what person who lives in Texas with the weather I hear you guys have been having recently, likes summer? We will have to work REALLY HARD when we get back to stay on target. Mom is busy ordering school books and such. We leave on the 17 and want to have everything ready so we can jump right in when we get back. Also my Aunt Diann, lives in Italy, and is having a baby at the end of October, so my Mom want to go over there so she can help with the baby. It's my aunts first. So we KK and I will be teaching school to the younger ones while she is gone. All in all, a very BUSY fall. Things should settle down after christmas though.
Have a great week!
