One of those "Random Mood" posts...you know how it goes.

I just wanted to jot down a quick post to explain...

a) Why do I not answer comments right away? I've been really busy...you know, being a student and all. I think that I'm going to really love 9th grade especially because this is the year that I got into a British Lit. class. All that to say, I'm going to be incommunicado Sunday-Friday. Sorry!
But never fear, I've got all of Saturday to catch up!

b) well, I think that "a) " pretty much explained it all!

And now to explain the large pictures of redness above: I have taken knitting back up after a long time. It's partly because I fell in love with the 1940's, WWII and old movies and found this pattern for a lovely *1940's style* beret. I'll try to post pictures of it when I take them during my huge amounts of free time! ;)

Lucie

P.S. I've put a poll up in the sidebar...please answer honestly! :)

Hi Lucie! I was going to vote on your poll, unfortunately there doesn't seem to be one. :( I'll check back later :D.

P.S.Thanks for commenting on my blog a while ago, and to answer your question; No, I didn't get a perm, it's mostly matural, althought a curling iron was nesessary to correct some wayward strands! :D haha.

Hi Lu!
I sooo understand about not having enough time. I run into that problem all the time. We haven't started our school year yet, but as soon as it does, you probibley won't hear from me except on weekends. Oh, I wanted to let you know that my Mom is hosting a country fair at her blog. September 14-oct. 6 bloggers can post pictures of there drawings, sewing, painting, cooking, etc. And then there will be a blog hop so everyone can see what everyone else posted. There is going to be some giveaways, and just a lot of fun. You can go to my mom's blog artschilipepper.blogspot.com and click on the fair button for details. Also currently my blog (bytheway-nana.blogspot.com) is public if you would like to stop by. And that burret you are knitting is ADORABLE! I do a little knitting, but nothing more then muffelers. Would you post the directions for us some time? It reminds me of Lucy's in Prince Caspian.
Have a wonderful weekend!

@Nana: I'll definitely check those things out!

@Sarah Grace: SOOOOO sorry! I KNEW, KNEW, KNEW that I'd forget and what do you know! You're so lucky to have naturally curly hair!

I voted "Don't! I'll stop following if you do..!" I wouldn't really stop following you, but it seemed to be the only answer that wasn't against Narnia :) I like who you post about it every now and then, and have pics of Susan up, but if you made it completely Narnia I wouldn't like it as much, but if you made it "no-Narnia" I wouldn't like it as much either.

Sorry if that was hard to follow, but I'm just trying to say that I like just the amount of Narnia stuff you've been doing, and keep it up! :)

Hehe, thanks Lucie. :) By the way, I just voted on your poll. (I don't know if it published it or not though, because my answer didn't show up when I clicked "vote"...hmmm.)

Lucie Manette said...

@Liza: No, I DEFINITELY wouldn't make it no-Narnia blog!

@Sarah Grace: I can't tell if it published. :)

I just voted on your poll. I would still follow, but it would be SOOOOOOOO dissapointing, not to know someone who's blog also talks about Narnia all the time. And that's the truth!

Your knitting looks so nice!!!!! Can't wait to see the finished beret. =) I used to knit, too, but haven't in a while.

School year hasn't started yet for me, but I'll probably be posting mostly on weekends, too. The British literature class sounds really cool! Is it at a school/college, or is it for homeschoolers?

By the way, about the Narnia thing...I didn't vote, but I like your blog as it is!! There isn't actually a ton of Narnia stuff; it's mostly in your blog design and pictures. And I don't think I'd say I'm tired of Narnia yet, especially with Voyage of the Dawn Treader coming out next year, and then hopefully The Silver Chair (that and Magician's Nephew are my most faves!).

Hi Lucie!
I wanted to leave a comment instead of vote, because I wasn't totally behind any of the options. I would understand, completely, if you did less Narnia stuff. I have been thinking alot about that myself, and asking myself if my liking for Narnia has turned in to an unhealthy infatuation or not. It may not be the case for you, but it was for me. I do have a Narnia header and name, but I have tried to control myself as far as pointless Narnia-ranting goes. And it's always better to be too far on the "less Narnia" side than to be too far on the "I'M A NARNIA FREAK" side.
Well, there's my two bits. And since I don't have a google account anyway, I would never stop following you ;).
And cute hat, dear! I never enjoyed knitting, but I do like crocheting. And sewing.

Great job with the beret. I look forward to seeing the finished product. Maybe you can show the girls and I how to use 4 needles one day. I would love to try socks, just never been brave enough to go for it.

Knitting in the round is fun! I've made socks that way, with four needles, but I haven't tried a beret. I can't wait to see how it turns out :)

@Nana: I don't think that I'll change it, after all!

@Marian: Thanks! The British Lit. class is at a sort of a homeschool "co-op," but it's taught by a real British Lit. teacher. ;) I can't wait for DT to come out, either.

@Twinmfg: Thanks so much! I'd love to! And it's one more reason to GET TOGETHER!!!!!

Hi Lucie--

I haven't had a chance to read all of your blog yet, but the front page has captured my interest: knitting, British Lit, and violins!! I'm hooked! I look forward to reading what you do in the British Lit class. Maybe you can explain "Wuthering Heights" to me if you have to read it!

It's very nice to find a well-thought-out blog by a younger person. And no text-speak! I love it.

Hey there Lucie! That beret that you're making looks really nice! Can't wait to see it when you're finished! I love the 1940's style too! Well got to go! Blessings!

Oh and good luck (even though there's no such thing, but for some reason it just didn't look right saying God speed, you know?) with 9th grade! You're gonna love it!

Lucie Manette said...

@ Sarah: Thanks so much for your comment!!! I'm sure that I will love 9th grade (with the exception of math, which I might just survive ;))
