Doings of a Young Lady; or, A Good Round of Catch-up

Seeing: Liberty's Kids--the mater found a DVD collection of the old tv cartoon series and it is a gift from heaven. After all, you can only repeat Andy Griffith so many times. Also, a sleeping kitten. So sweet, so sweet.

Listening: to The Gael, a video music clip that a friend sent to me especially because of the violin solo. It's from Last of the Mohicans and I love it.

Thinking: about much. My sophomore year has begun and school now nearly consumes my life. With the weekend coming up, I'm also trying to think of things that won't involve me wasting my entire day on Facebook.

Reading: Good old War and Peace. But my brain has been--shall we say--fried by the end to the day, so that is going slowly.

Painting: a spanish lady in a scarlet dress. Sorry, that's just how I roll.

Writing: A character sketch for above mentioned school. And, of course, this.

Thanks for reading!

I'm in my sophomore year too, and I'm brain fried at the end of every single day. I've had to reduce my computer time to about 30min. TOTAL each day...not much time for email/blogging/photo editing/blog designing work. Budgeting time has never been my strong point either. You and I will just have to blog like crazy over Christmas break to make up for it :P

You have Facebook? Interesting....

Glad to see this post! You don't know how much you're missed, my dear. You were the first blog I ever followed (along with Jo-with-it's Portfolio), so that means you're definitely one of my favorites! :)

Hi Lucie dear!
So good to see you posting. I love these "Doings of a young woman" things (I just did one on my blog!)... I like your graphic, too. If you make another "official" one (you know, with "created by Lucie" and all that on it) with a Susan or Lucy pic, I'd love to use it!
Oh goodness, I just finished my first week of being a sophomore. Funny, this year feels just about the same as last year:). But my brain goes into "lessons" mode and therefore my conversation naturally tends to school subjects.

Any how, it's good to catch up!
Love,
~Meg

@Jo: I know! And you are so sweet...I'm glad you enjoy my blog! I wish I had more posting time/brainspace. ;)

@Meg:I know! Actually mine was inspired by yours. I wanted to post something but my head was amazingly empty...so I decided to do it! And you're welcome to this graphic...I'm feeling fickle, so there's no promise that it will become the official one. ;) Glad to hear from you!!!!

War and Peace huh? You'll have to post a review when you're done. :-) just kidding.

I FINALLY finished A Tale of Two Cities! Let me tell you, I knew I didn't like a certain Madame at the begining, but at the end I probably would have screamed if anyone mentioned "Madame DeFarge". Well, I don't know, I've never tried screaming while I'm weeping. Love, Love, Love the end...so sad. Anyway...I'd like to see your painting when you are done! Sounds lovely.
