Here are some pictures of the beret I just made...It's turned out to be very 1940's. I just started a 1940's style skirt with this lovely fall suiting solids plaid. It's very classic--and classy. But back to the beret. It was very fun to make, as well as providing a way for me to learn to use four needles...or five. By the way, the second picture is more representative of its color, though. You can't really see in the pictures, but its worn to one side, almost over the ear.

Oh, my Lu! This is awesome! Good job! You'll have to post some pictures of you wearing it with your skirt once it is finished! Your readers are on the edge of their seats waiting to see how it comes out!!!
Oh, and (I'm so excited!) I just finished my Narnia costume! I found your blog when I was looking for ideas at the begining of the Summer. The post came up about your Susan dress, and I was hooked after that! I'm posting pictures on the 14th and my blog will be public then if you would like to see them. I'm so excited!!!!
Again, good job on your beret! I know how to knit, but don't enjoy it very much...I like progress, and it seems to take FOREVER! I like the finished result though, so I still do it some times.
Have a great week!
Nana
Wow, it turned out great!!! How hard is it to knit with 5 needles? I've never tried it...yet. :)
Beautiful, Lucie! I love it!
~Eldarwen Failariel~
@ Everybody: Thanks so much!
@ Nana: Do get pics up...I'm checking!
@Marian: It's actually not nearly as hard as it looks...maybe I'll post directions...
Wow! You did a splendid job on that beret! I can't wait to see more pictures.
Where did you get the pattern? I knit too, that looks like a fun project :)

Oh, and I have a question (or two):
How did you create the blog buttons on the "Link to Me" page? (the ones with the HTML codes)
And are you using GIMP to create the headers, buttons, etc. on the "Image Gallery" and "Portfolio" pages?
~Liza~
@ Liza: Thanks...I did make them on Gimp! For the blog buttons, you have two choices: do it on photobucket (I'm not sure how) or go to http://designtipsbloggers.blogspot.com/2009/05/for-those-who-want-blog-button.html. She has a code and directions for it. I hope that helps!
Hi Su!
I just stopped by, to copy that tag you did a few post ago, and thought I would say "hi" while I was here! Every Tuesday I do a diffent tag, and I though that one would be fun to do! Do you know who wrote it?
I like your new profile picture. It's actualley you!
Hope you had a great week and blessing for the week!
Nana
Yes, thanks Lu!
Lucie,
Your beret turned out beautiful! I love the beret style but simply cannot wear it! I love hats, collect them, actually, and can't bear the thought of a hat I can't wear!!!
Love,
Kaitlin
@Nana: Thanks so much! I thought that if I could ONLY get a good picture of me...I don't know who wrote it, but that doesn't usually matter. Oh, and please feel free to take any tag off my blog--I just don't usually have time to link and things.
@I just recently came into a hat phase...a couple of years ago, I made a 1890's style easter hat...maybe I'll post pics!
Hey Susan!
I just posted pictures today of my Narnia costume! I won't be on for the next three weeks, but feel free to stop by!
We are leaving tomorrow mourning, for vacation, and won't be back till the 7th so I won't be around until then. I look forward to reading your post when I get back!
Nana
I stand in awe, my dear. I really never "clicked" with knitting; I can do it, but I don't enjoy it. It is sooooooooooooo darling, and I wish I could look good in hats like that. Very real-world-Susan-ish :).
Hugs,
Meg
BEAUTIFUL!!!! I LOVE these hats!!!
@Meg: Awwwwww...thanks so much. (Love the pun!)I am flattered that it looks "Susan-ish"...the effect
I was going for!
@Bracie: Thanks!
Ah, Lucie, beautiful hat, VERY well done!! :)
Love,
Bekah
I tagged you!
Awesome!!!
Knitting is such a neat skill. Too bad I epic fail at it.
Red really is a cheery color, isn't it?
