I've been gone too long...so I'll explain my long absence (at least in part).
1) Though I'm still home-schooled, I have a lot to do. Useless stuff like reading. You know. ;)
2) I've been toiling away at my 1940's suit and falling deeper in love with everything about that time-period every second.
3) I LOVE old movies. I'll just have to make up a list of my favorites. THAT was when they new how to make movies!
4) Listening to The Andrews Sisters: I found them through my infatuation with Narnia (they sang "Oh, Johnny" during the hide-and-seek scene in LWW). So now, the house vibrates with "Straighten Up and Fly Right," Bei Mir Bist Du Schon" and "Is You Is or Is You Aint My Baby." I know. I'm weird. But their neat, too. I'll have to do a post about them.
Well, those are the things that have been holding my up from blogging. Oh, and today, *dumdumdum* my sisters and I started FOLKLORICO!!!! It's fantastically fun. Hard work, though. Yes, that's the Mexican dance with the big skirts...only we don't get big skirts this time...we dress up as little old men...but that's ok. ;)
By the way, if anybody has seen Breakfast at Tiffany's, would you tell me if you would reccomend it, and why or why not? Thanks SO much.

Wow! sounds like you have been busy! I can't wait to see your outfit once you're done with it. And please do a post on The Andrews Sisters. I'm also into retro music and films. There's just something about that time period that's intriguing. I'm sure half of it has to do with it being the time during the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe, but still :) Have fun at your Folklorico!
Good to see you back! That dancing sounds fun! I love pretty much any kind of dancing, especially folk and Hebraic ;)
I haven't seen Breakfast at Tiffany's, so I can't help you there.
I love old movies too!!!!!!!!!!
Oh, I finally got around to setting up a blog! You can see the link to it on my profile.
p.s. where's your profile picture from?
I love the 1940's time-period too! That is so cool that you are making a 40's suit!! Old movies are the BeSt! Have you ever seen "Mrs. Miniver?" It's during World War 2. I'm not sure what your families rules are with movies but I'd just thought I'd suggest it :) Hope you're doing well!

@Sarah:Thanks so much! It's coming...
@Jo March:I actually got it off of AmandaBeth Online...but I gimped it pink. ;)
@Grace: I haven't seen it yet, but I want to. I've heard lots about it. ;) We just finished watching the old Pride and Prejudice with Greer Garson and Laurence Olivier...fantastic!!! Thanks for the suggestion!
Stop by my blog, for a blessing! Check out the 10/31 post.
Blessings!

Lucie,
I love the sound of the Andrew's sisters too. You should check out their Christmas CD's. They did some songs solo. They also did a lot with Bing Crosby in his "Christmas with Bing" collection. It's a holiday family favorite.
Mexican dancing sounds like fun. I tried the hat dance once... it certainly is hard, yet fun!
As for "Breakfast at Tiffany's" I LOVE,LOVE, LOVE Audrey Hepburn as much as Narnia!! She was one of the few actresses even in her own time, whose life wasn't messed up morally. She has a really great biography and I would reccomend anything with her in it. Breakfast At Tiffany's was origianally a play, and has a great storyline. One of my favorite parts is when she sings Moon River(an old Perry Como favorite of mine; since you likethe Andrew sisters, I think you'd like him too...). Sorry this comment seems more like a post... hope I answered your question!
Love,
Kaitlin
