so I thought I'd post "a little round of catch-up....and explanation of why I don't post as often as I should" (read: Doings of a Young Lady.) So here goes:
Seeing: the second fire of the season. Because you know, in south Texas "below 80" temperatures are FREEZING. I'm freezing too, right now.
Listening too: My mother read a surreal book:"Water Babies." It's kind of weird to listen to a book where a character dies in the middle....
Thinking: where is Otis? I don't think I've mentioned it, but we got a kitten. He's "a positive darb" (definition of 'darb': made-up saying of Jerry Lewis that means simply 'cute' or 'wonderful' or simply an expression of approval).
Reading: Well, I'm about to start "The Pit and the Pendulum" by Edgar Allan Poe. I'm not looking forward to it. His writings tend to frighten me...and I don't frighten easily.
On My To-Do List: I'll give an 'abbreviated' version:
1) Finish 1940s costume
2) Read above mentioned book
3) Finish various and sundry assignments
4) bake SOMETHING this weekend
That's all.
The End.
Goodbye now!

Hello Lucie :)
Found your blog, and I absolutely love it.
I happen to be a Jesus lover, homeschooler, and we share all the same interests.
(such as I love Narnia to death. London is my dream. I love to read. etc.)
Anyway, glad to see you blogging. Would love to hear more!

Hi Lu! I went bonkers when I saw this post in my dashboard, Leia and Titty came running to see why I was so excited :D
I love your little "rounds of catch-up" and seeing what you're up to.
It's been FREEZING here too! My fingers are cold as I type this.
Ditto on Water Babies. I finished it, but I didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would. It is odd that Tom dies in the middle :P
Ooh, I love that new word! "Darb", now I have to find a way to use it :D
Poe scares me too! I'm reading his poetry for school. He's so morbid.
Well, I have to run. The sibs want me to play four-square *shiver* and I'm already "late".
Catch you soon and could you maybe post more often during Christmas break? I miss you when you're gone. :/
Love and hugs,
Jo
